Station Manager, Indian Queens

We are seeking to recruit a Station Manager to lead plant operations and business performance at Indian Queens Power Station in Cornwall. 

 

As the Station Manager you will have direct responsibility for the strategic and commercial operation of the power station, its operational assets and associated infrastructure, delivery of business objectives in line with plant targets and the Company business plan.   


  • Key accountabilities

    • Managing the short term and long term performance and activities of the Indian Queens facility to maximise profit
    • Meeting consistently health and safety, environmental, production and financial targets as defined by the plants operational key performance indicators (KPIs) and strategic business plan
    • Managing the business to comply with legislative, regulatory and Company policies, procedures and standards
    • Implementing appropriate initiatives to improve technical, health, safety and environmental performance
    • Project delivery, with proven experience of large EPC projects
    • Lead the workforce to achieve business objectives by providing leadership and direction to the team 
    • Ensuring technical risks are managed in accordance with good operating practices
    • Full profit and loss accountability for the asset
    • Driving ongoing performance improvements in procurement and contract management
    • Maintaining stock levels to support short and long term asset requirements
    • Maintaining systems and processes that meet the requirements of a quality, environmental, and health & safety management system 
    • All business aspects associated with the operation of Indian Queens Power Station

  • Who we are looking for

    • Engineering degree or equivalent technical experience within the power industry or similar
    • Relevant management experience and related management qualification
    • Large industrial process background, preferably within the power industry or similar
    • NEBOSH in Health & Safety / Environment management
    • Member of a relevant professional body desirable
